To discuss and handle anything that is concerning you about the initial treatment plan presented to you and anything concerning you that has arisen during treatment. It may also include negative treatment results.

Types of Orthodontic Appliances
Which type of orthodontic appliance is best suited for a particular orthodontic problem and what it is designed to accomplish. There are pros and cons to each appliance and choosing the correct one starts with proper diagnosis of the orthodontic issue it is designed to correct.

Guidance
This site is dedicated to helping you understand and give guidance for patients seeking initial orthodontic care and patients currently in treatment. What should take place on that first visit to the orthodontist. How to prepare your child and their concerns about how braces are going to impact them. Evaluating complex conditions such as orthopedic and surgical treatment plans. It is also for patients in treatment that may have questions about how their treatment is progressing. Lastly, guidance for negative treatment outcomes.

There are several different reasons patients seek a second or even a third opinion. Financial, personality conflicts and certainly questions about the proposed treatment presented. More often times than not different opinions often lead to more confusion. Remember whoever you see wants you as a patient. This site is designed to give you unbiased information since I am not motivated by seeking you as a patient. My mission statement is unbiased and educational information. What I will do is give you straight answers backed by years of clinical and teaching experience which is based on proven academic information from university orthodontic faculty, textbooks, and journals that will provide a common sense approach. There are Orthodontic Standards of Care which are taught at every postgraduate orthodontic residency program under the guidance of the American Board of Orthdontics.
